Flat tyre help at the roadside
on the M5.

A flat on the M5 feels alarming, but the safest thing is to get off the carriageway and leave the tyre alone. Once you are clear of the traffic there is no need to move again; we come to you. The fitter works out what is wrong and does the quickest safe fix, a repair if the tyre allows it or a new one if it does not.

Ease off the power, hold the wheel steady and come off at the first safe place, an emergency area, a hard shoulder if there is one, or the next junction, never a live lane. Put your hazards on and, where it is safe, wait away from the car rather than beside it. Then leave the tyre as it is; driving any further on a flat turns a repairable puncture into a replacement and can damage the wheel.

Tell us your direction of travel and the nearest junction or marker post so we head straight to you on the M5. We diagnose the tyre when we arrive and carry both the repair tools and replacement stock on the van, so it is sorted in one visit. You pay nothing up front: a quick enquiry takes about two minutes, we call you back to confirm the price before we set off, and where the road lets us we are usually with you inside about an hour.

  • Get safely off the M5 first: an emergency area, hard shoulder or junction
  • Stay put once you are clear: we bring everything to you
  • Diagnosed on arrival: repaired if safe, replaced if the damage is too deep
  • Nothing up front, pay when it is fixed: the price depends on your tyre size and brand

About the M5

The road we cover.

The M5 starts at the M6 near West Bromwich and heads south-west towards Bristol and the West Country. In our area it passes Oldbury at junction 2, Halesowen and Quinton at junction 3 and Bromsgrove at junctions 4 and 5, carrying heavy traffic round the west of the Black Country. It is a major freight and holiday route, especially busy southbound at weekends and through the summer.

Wherever you've stopped along it, we come to you and sort the flat, a repair where it's safe, a replacement where it isn't, and get you moving again.

M5 FAQs

Flat Tyre Help on the M5, answered.

What should I do the moment I get a flat on the M5?
Ease off the power, hold the wheel straight and come off the carriageway at the first safe place, an emergency area, a hard shoulder if there is one, or the next junction. Put your hazards on, stop, and leave the tyre as it is. Then call us and we come to you.
Where is the safest place to wait?
Well clear of moving traffic. On a motorway that means an emergency area, a hard shoulder if there is one, or off at the nearest junction, never a live lane. Keep your hazards on and, if it is safe, stand behind a barrier away from the car rather than beside it.
Why can I not just drive on to the next services?
Because driving on a flat destroys the tyre and can buckle the wheel, and on a fast motorway it puts you at real risk. A puncture that could have been repaired becomes a replacement. Once you are safely off the road, stay put and let us bring the fix to you.
Will you repair it or replace it once you arrive?
It depends on what we find. A clean puncture in the tread often takes a lasting repair, while a split sidewall, a bad tear or a run-flat that has been driven on needs a new tyre. We diagnose it at the roadside and carry both the tools and replacement stock to finish in one visit.
How do I help you find me, and how do I pay?
Tell us your direction of travel and the nearest junction or marker post on M5 so we come straight to you. There is nothing to pay up front; a repair is the cheaper outcome and a replacement depends on your tyre size and brand. We call you back to confirm the price before we set off, and you pay only once it is sorted.
