Burst tyre replaced fast
on the M69.

Feel a tyre let go on the M69 and the drill is the same whatever the vehicle. Ease off the power, keep the wheel steady with both hands and let the car slow without heavy braking, then guide it onto the hard shoulder or an emergency refuge area and put your hazards on. The tyre will be beyond repair after a burst, so we come to you with a replacement rather than a patch.

A blowout at motorway speed shreds the sidewall and casing, and that damage cannot be mended safely. When we reach you on M69 we look the tyre over, tell you straight what we find, and fit a correctly sized new one on the spot, balanced and torqued so you can get moving again.

Our vans carry a range of sizes and all the kit to change a tyre at the roadside, so in most cases there is no tow and no garage. Callouts run around the clock every day of the year. Give us your location and direction on M69, and there is nothing to pay up front: you settle up once the new tyre is fitted.

  • Honest roadside assessment on the M69: a genuine blowout gets a new tyre, not a patch
  • A spread of tyre sizes carried on the van, so most bursts are sorted in a single visit
  • Fitted where you stopped with no tow, and no work ever done in a live motorway lane
  • 24-hour callouts and no charge to book, with nothing to pay up front

About the M69

The road we cover.

The M69 is a 16-mile motorway linking Coventry to Leicester via Hinckley. It runs from the M6 junction 2 at Coventry to the M1 junction 21 at Leicester, with a single junction at Hinckley in between. It is a key commuter and freight link on the eastern edge of Warwickshire.

Wherever you've stopped along it, we bring a replacement to you and check the wheel, rather than have you risk the rim on a shredded tyre.

M69 FAQs

Burst Tyre Replacement on the M69, answered.

My tyre burst while I was driving on the M69. What should I do first?
Stay calm and keep both hands on the wheel. Lift off the accelerator smoothly rather than braking hard, because heavy braking after a blowout can pull the car sharply out of line. Let the speed bleed away naturally, then steer gently towards the hard shoulder or the nearest emergency refuge area. Switch on your hazard lights, get out on the side away from traffic if it is safe, and stand behind the barrier. Once you are clear of the live lanes, call us and we will come to you.
Can a burst tyre be repaired, or does it need replacing?
A genuine blowout almost always needs a new tyre. When a tyre bursts at speed the sidewall flexes violently and the internal casing tears, and that kind of damage cannot be patched safely. A puncture in the tread can sometimes be repaired, but a burst is different. When we reach you on the M69 we will look at the tyre, tell you honestly what we see, and fit a replacement so you can get moving again.
Do you fit the new tyre on the motorway itself, or do I need a tow?
We fit it at the roadside, so in most cases no tow is needed. Our vans carry a range of tyre sizes and the kit to change them on the spot. The one thing we will never do is work on a tyre in a live lane, so if you are stopped somewhere without a safe hard shoulder or refuge, we may ask you to move to a safer point first or arrange for you to be taken clear. Wherever it is safe to work, we get the new tyre on and send you on your way.
How quickly can you reach me after a blowout on M69?
We run 24-hour callouts every day, so there is always someone to answer when you ring. As soon as you give us your location and direction of travel on M69, we dispatch the nearest van. Times vary with traffic and exactly where you are on the road, but we treat a blowout as urgent and move fast. While you wait, stay behind the barrier and well away from the carriageway.
How much does a roadside burst-tyre replacement cost?
The price depends on the tyre size and type your vehicle needs, and we confirm it clearly before we set off so there are no surprises when we arrive. There is no charge to book and nothing to pay up front: make an enquiry, we ring you back to confirm the price and a time, and you pay once the new tyre is fitted. There is no separate charge for coming out to you on the motorway: the callout is part of the service.
