24-hour tyre repair at the roadside
on the M6.

Picked up a puncture on the M6 at an hour when everywhere is shut? A nail rarely means a new tyre. Once you have stopped somewhere safe, we come out to you, lift the wheel off and, where the damage is in the repairable part of the tread, patch it to BS AU 159 on the spot, so a 3am flat costs you a repair rather than a replacement.

Most motorway punctures come from debris through the central tread, and that is exactly the sort we can mend if the tyre has not been driven flat. Get yourself to safety first, an emergency area or off at the next junction, never a live lane, then call. We bring the kit to inspect and repair the tyre where it stands rather than leave you waiting for a garage to open.

The rule is the same at any hour. A repairable puncture is patched from the inside, the wheel rebalanced, and you are on your way. A cut sidewall or damage outside BS AU 159 gets an honest replacement instead. The price, including any small out-of-hours supplement, is agreed before we start, with nothing to pay up front.

  • A patch first, a tyre only if needed: we always try to save the one you have
  • Internal repair to BS AU 159: a proper fix, not a temporary roadside plug
  • 24-hour callouts to the M6: a fitter reaches you day or night
  • Nothing to pay to book: most jobs done in around 60 minutes where possible

About the M6

The road we cover.

The M6 is the backbone of the Midlands motorway network, and our coverage runs from the Catthorpe Interchange round through Birmingham and the Black Country. It meets the M1 and A14 at Catthorpe, serves Coventry at junctions 2 to 3, runs over the elevated section and Spaghetti Junction through Birmingham at 4 to 8, and passes Walsall at 9 to 10 and Wolverhampton at 10a. It is one of the busiest motorways in the country, carrying constant freight and commuter traffic through the heart of the Midlands.

Wherever you've stopped along it, at any hour, we come to you and repair the tyre on the spot rather than leave you waiting until a garage opens.

M6 FAQs

24 Hour Tyre Repair on the M6, answered.

Can a puncture on M6 be repaired instead of replaced at night?
Usually, yes. If you have stopped before the tyre ran flat and the damage is a clean object through the central tread, it is repairable within BS AU 159, and that is always our first choice because it costs far less than a new tyre. We patch it from the inside and rebalance the wheel there and then, subject to a fitter being free.
How much will an out-of-hours repair on the M6 cost?
There is nothing to pay up front. A free enquiry takes about two minutes, then we call back to confirm the price and a time, day or night. Night, weekend and bank holiday jobs carry a small out-of-hours supplement, made clear when we call. You will know the price for the repair, or for a replacement if one proves necessary, before any work begins, and you pay once it is done.
Where should I wait for you on M6?
Get yourself and any passengers clear of moving traffic first. Pull into an emergency area or the hard shoulder, or leave at the nearest junction, and never sit in a live lane. On a motorway stand behind the barrier if you can. If you cannot reach safety, ring 999 or National Highways on 0300 123 5000, then call us once you are out of harm's way.
What if the tyre cannot be safely repaired?
If the damage is in the sidewall, on the shoulder, or the tyre has been driven flat, a patch will not hold, so we say so plainly and fit a replacement instead. Read the tyre size off the sidewall when you call and we can carry the right one, so an honest no to a repair still gets you moving.
How quickly can you reach me on the M6?
We aim to be with you within about an hour wherever we can, with genuine 24-hour cover on the routes we serve. Give us your direction of travel and the nearest junction or marker post so we can pinpoint you fast.
