Flat tyre help at the roadside
on the M11.

A flat on the M11 feels alarming, but the safest thing is to get off the carriageway and leave the tyre alone. Once you are clear of the traffic there is no need to move again; we come to you. The fitter works out what is wrong and does the quickest safe fix, a repair if the tyre allows it or a new one if it does not.

Ease off the power, hold the wheel steady and come off at the first safe place, an emergency area, a hard shoulder if there is one, or the next junction, never a live lane. Put your hazards on and, where it is safe, wait away from the car rather than beside it. Then leave the tyre as it is; driving any further on a flat turns a repairable puncture into a replacement and can damage the wheel.

Tell us your direction of travel and the nearest junction or marker post so we head straight to you on the M11. We diagnose the tyre when we arrive and carry both the repair tools and replacement stock on the van, so it is sorted in one visit. You pay nothing up front: a quick enquiry takes about two minutes, we call you back to confirm the price before we set off, and where the road lets us we are usually with you inside about an hour.

  • Get safely off the M11 first: an emergency area, hard shoulder or junction
  • Stay put once you are clear: we bring everything to you
  • Diagnosed on arrival: repaired if safe, replaced if the damage is too deep
  • Nothing up front, pay when it is fixed: the price depends on your tyre size and brand

About the M11

The road we cover.

The M11 runs from the North Circular (A406) in east London up to Cambridge across junctions 4 to 14. It begins near Wanstead and Redbridge, climbs through Epping and Harlow and serves Stansted Airport at junction 8 near Bishop's Stortford. It is a fast commuter and airport route linking east London, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

Wherever you've stopped along it, we come to you and sort the flat, a repair where it's safe, a replacement where it isn't, and get you moving again.

M11 FAQs

Flat Tyre Help on the M11, answered.

I have a flat on the M11, will you repair it or fit a new tyre?
We decide once we have seen it, not before. A nail or screw in the main tread is usually a straightforward repair we do on the spot. A split sidewall, a bulge, a shredded tyre or a run-flat that has been driven on will need replacing, and we carry tyres on the van to do that where you have stopped.
Can you tell me over the phone if it can be mended?
Not honestly, no. Whether a tyre can be repaired depends on where the damage is and how bad it is, and that only becomes clear once a fitter has looked at the tread, sidewall and rim. That is why we diagnose it on arrival and give you a straight answer there and then.
Can I keep driving to get off the M11 first?
Only far enough to reach a safe place, and slowly. Ease off the power, hold the wheel straight and come off the carriageway at the next safe spot, an emergency area or a junction. Once you are clear of the traffic, stop and leave it. Driving any real distance on a flat wrecks the tyre and often the wheel too.
Where should I wait for you on the M11?
Somewhere well away from moving traffic. On a motorway that means an emergency area, a hard shoulder if there is one, or off at the nearest junction, never a live lane. Put your hazards on, and if it is safe stand behind a barrier rather than by the car. Tell us your direction of travel and the nearest junction so we head straight to you.
How do I book, and how soon can you get here?
There is nothing to pay up front. A repair is the cheaper outcome; a replacement depends on your tyre size and brand, and we call you back to confirm the price before we set off. We are usually with you within about an hour where we can reach you, and run same-day and 24-hour callouts.
