Walking back to the car at Cherwell Valley, a Brackley car park or your Kettering drive to find a tyre on the rim is the moment to stop, not to try driving it.
Flat by morning usually means leaking since yesterday. Air escaping from a hole picked up on the Silverstone length can empty overnight outside a Towcester house, and a car left all day at Northampton Services or in a Moulton Park yard can be sitting on its rim by the evening.
