Walked out to find the car sitting on a flat tyre after the evening A14 run home to Desborough or Burton Latimer? Leave it exactly where it is. We come to the car.
A flat found in the morning is usually the end of a leak that began on the A14 the day before: a screw collected near Rothwell, a valve core starting to fail, or a rim clouted on a kerb leaving a Thrapston roundabout. Plenty of people would inflate it at a forecourt and carry on to Corby or Northampton. Driving on a flat, even a short way, crushes the sidewall and can turn a simple repair into a new tyre.
Stay put and message us the address or car park name, with the tyre size. The fitter checks the tyre inside and out at the car. A small puncture in the central tread with an undamaged sidewall is repaired; a tyre that was run flat, or holed in the wrong place, is replaced. Either way the price is agreed with you before the wheel comes off.

Dunchurch Road on the A426 and Lawford Road on the A428 both lead into CV22 residential streets where the car can sit on a level kerb. Found a flat after parking off the A14? Walk round the other three first, since lorry debris is no respecter of a single wheel. On the soft one, hunt for a nail head, a split or kinked valve stem, or bright metal where a Thrapston kerb has scraped the rim. Do not limp it to a forecourt.
