About the M40
The road we cover.
The M40 links London and Birmingham across 89 miles and 16 junctions, climbing the Chilterns at the Stokenchurch gap. It passes Beaconsfield at junction 2, High Wycombe at 4, Oxford at 8, Bicester at 9, Banbury at 11 and Warwick and Leamington Spa at 12 to 15 before meeting the M42 near Solihull at junction 16.
