Emergency tyre repair at the roadside
on the A1(M).

Picked up a puncture on the A1(M) and need to be moving again quickly? Our mobile technicians specialise in fast roadside tyre repair, reaching you where you have stopped and getting a repairable puncture sorted in minutes so you can carry on with your day.

Speed is the whole point of an emergency repair. Once we arrive on the A1(M) we triage the tyre on the spot, find the object or the leak, and if the damage sits within the repairable zone we plug and patch it there and then. Most repairs are wrapped up well inside the hour, and often a good deal faster than that.

Being stuck beside a busy motorway is stressful, so we keep the process simple and safe. Pull into the nearest emergency area, hard shoulder refuge, or take the next exit if you can, then call us and stay clear of moving traffic while we come to you.

  • Rapid roadside triage of your puncture, with many repairs finished in minutes once we reach you
  • We come to you on the A1(M), so there is no wait for recovery and no drive to a garage
  • Repairs carried out to the BS AU 159 standard wherever the damage is safely repairable
  • Nothing to pay up front, with everything settled once the job is done

About the A1(M)

The road we cover.

The A1(M) carries the Great North Road through Hertfordshire, from South Mimms to Baldock. It meets the M25 at South Mimms, serves Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield at junctions 3 to 4, Stevenage at 7 to 8 and Hitchin and Letchworth at 8 to 9. It is a busy commuter motorway feeding traffic between Hertfordshire and London.

Wherever you've pulled over along it, we come to you and repair the puncture at the roadside rather than have you limp on and ruin the tyre.

Stay safe first

A1(M) FAQs

Emergency Tyre Repair on the A1(M), answered.

My tyre is going down on the A1(M), can I make it to the services?
It's not worth the risk. A soft tyre can fail suddenly at speed, and driving on it usually ruins both tyre and wheel. Pull over as soon as it's safe, get clear of the traffic, and call us to come to you instead.
Where should I stop on the A1(M)?
Aim for an emergency refuge area, the hard shoulder or the next exit. Get the car as far left as you can, hazards on, and everyone out and behind the barrier on the embankment side, well away from live traffic.
How fast will help arrive?
A stocked van heads straight to the A1(M), typically reaching you in around 60 minutes. Where the puncture is repairable, you're often moving again within minutes of us arriving, with no need to wait for a recovery truck.
Will the repair hold, or is it temporary?
It holds. We seal the puncture from the inside and rebalance the wheel to BS AU 159, so it's a permanent repair rather than a plug to limp home on. You can carry on using the tyre normally afterwards.
Do I still pay if the tyre turns out to need replacing?
There's nothing to pay up front, and you pay only once the work is done, whichever job that is. If a safe repair isn't possible on the A1(M) we'll quote for a replacement and fit it on the spot, with the price agreed before we begin.
