Locking key missing, or the nut chewed up by a borrowed socket at Tamworth services? We take it off cleanly, fit standard nuts and deal with the tyre before leaving.
A locking nut only becomes a problem when a tyre does. A puncture off the M42 at J4, a spare lifted out in a Solihull car park, and suddenly the key is not in the glovebox, the boot well or anywhere else. Hire cars collected at Birmingham Airport and pool cars heading to meetings near J6 can be caught out too, and a borrowed socket forced onto the nut tends to round it off completely.
Before we set off, give us the car's make and model, mention whether the airport hire car came without a key or a socket mangled the nut, and read out the tyre size. The fitter uses removal tools matched to locking nut patterns, with protection for the alloy face, so the wheel comes off without scratches. Plain nuts replace the locking set, and the puncture or damaged tyre that started it all is sorted before the van leaves, priced on the call.

A car left at Princess Alice Retail Park or the Four Oaks Station Car Park with a tyre to change and no key for the locking nut can still be sorted. Our fitter can draw off a locking nut without its key, then refit your wheel with a standard bolt. Before ringing about a locking nut after an M42 trip, turn the car over properly: glovebox, seat pockets, beneath the boot floor, around the spare or repair kit.
