The porter rings to say a tyre is down two levels under a Knightsbridge block, or you find it on the rim in an Earls Court bay. Leave it, and the fitter decides at the car.
A flat here may be discovered by someone else: a concierge in Chelsea, a neighbour in a Holland Park mews, the pressure warning on a run-flat in a South Kensington square. The car may have stood for days, so the tyre may be fully down and the rim resting on it. Moving it, even up a basement ramp, grinds the sidewall and finishes a tyre that could have been repaired, and on a run-flat it can also damage the wheel.
Send the building or street and a photo. The fitter inflates the tyre where it stands to trace the leak: a screw from a King's Road site is repaired from inside, a valve is changed, a corroded bead seat on an alloy is cleaned and resealed, and a sidewall or run-flat that has been driven deflated is replaced with the matching spec. Repair or replace, the option and the cost are put to you at the car before anything is done.

A flat on Harrow Road or Great Western Road is best dealt with by pulling into the nearest residential street rather than a bus stop or box junction. Near Ladbroke Grove station there are quieter roads to try. Turn on the hazards, wait away from the traffic side and phone through the street name plus the numbers moulded into the tyre wall.
A flat in a Chelsea basement or a Notting Hill mews starts with a look at the other three tyres, then a search for the cause: a screw head, a perished valve, or granite-kerb scuffing along the sidewall. Run-flats can cover only a limited distance at reduced speed before the tyre may be scrap; a conventional tyre should not be driven at all. Where a space-saver exists, it is a temporary spare. Leave the car where the porter can find it.
