You come out to the car in Thornton Heath before the early train from East Croydon and one tyre has gone down to the rim. Leave it be; the fitter comes to the street.

Whitehorse Road and Grange Road form the A212 through Selhurst, and Selhurst Road meets the area as the A213. Spot a flat on any of them and act early: indicate, slow down and pull into the nearest residential street. Once stopped, put the hazards on, step onto the pavement, read the tyre size and call so we can talk you through what happens next.
Take a look at the other three before ringing, since tram rails on George Street can pinch more than one tyre. Then inspect the casing that went down for a nail, a leaking valve and any scuff where it met a kerb.
