Alloy wheels take adhesive weights on the inside of the rim; steel rims have clip-ons. Once a re-spin reads clean, the wheel is refitted and torqued. Balancing is not alignment

Balancing is needed after new tyres go on, after a tyre is demounted for an inside patch, after a weight goes missing, or when vibration builds at one road pace. It does not fix a car that pulls on the A22 Godstone Road, or a tyre worn away on its inside shoulder; for those, book an alignment check at a garage, as we carry no alignment rig. Nor does it cure judder only under braking. Knowing the difference saves money at the next garage.
