The changer, the balancer and the stock all come out to Greenwich in the van, so the whole fitting is done at the kerb in Woolwich, Eltham or East Greenwich, and the car never leaves its space.
No safe road links a Greenwich driver with a flat or a bulge to any depot. From Plumstead the way out is down through Woolwich on the A206; from the Peninsula it is the A102, where stopping is banned; from Eltham it is Westhorne Avenue on the South Circular. Any of them driven on a damaged tyre puts the rim, the wheel bearing and the traffic alongside at risk. So the workshop comes to the car, and the car stays on the drive or terrace where you found the problem.
The van draws up beside or behind the car; an Eltham driveway is simplest, a Blackheath permit bay works with the bay number, a Charlton terrace is fine with room to pull alongside. Wheel off, old tyre stripped from the rim on the machine, new tyre mounted and inflated, spun on the balancer, refitted, nuts set to the correct torque. Nothing leaves except the dead tyre. Sidewall size and exact street are enough for the full cost to be settled on the phone.
Anywhere the van can park next to the car: Eltham and Mottingham drives, Kidbrooke and Plumstead streets, East Greenwich bays off Trafalgar Road, the public roads near Millennium Way. Not inside the O2 or Bugsbys Way car parks, and never on the A2 or the A102.

The van brings everything, but the job still needs space: room to kneel beside the wheel, a firm level surface, and nobody's drive blocked. Eltham and Mottingham drives suit it well. In Greenwich town centre a permit bay with room alongside, or a legal spot for the van close by, is needed, and the one-way loop makes a precise location essential. Plumstead and Kidbrooke roads are largely unrestricted. The car never has to be driven anywhere, which matters when it is sitting on a wrecked tyre.
