- Book a slot. There is no deposit to pay, and we confirm the price first, so there are no surprises.
- We come to you. A fitter arrives at your chosen location in a van carrying the tyre, machine and torque tools.
- Fitted on the spot. We remove the old tyre, fit and balance the new one, set pressures to the manufacturer's figure and take the old tyre away for recycling.
What to expect on the day
It's simpler than most people expect. We need access to the car and the keys, and a bit of firm, level space to work safely, a driveway, a workplace car park or a safe kerbside spot is ideal. Many customers don't even wait with the car; they leave the keys and carry on working while we get on with it. The fitter jacks the car, removes the wheel, replaces the tyre on a portable machine, balances it, refits the wheel to the correct torque, sets the pressures and clears up, taking the old tyre away. You get a tidy job and a clear price, with no trip to a garage and no waiting room.

Is it done to the same standard?
Yes. A common worry is that a roadside job is somehow second-best, but the work is identical to a garage's. The van carries a proper tyre machine and a wheel balancer, so every tyre is mounted and balanced exactly as it would be in a workshop. Crucially, the wheels are tightened with a calibrated torque wrench to the manufacturer's setting, not nipped up by feel, which is the standard TyreSafe insists on for safe fitting. Punctures are repaired to the British Standard with the tyre off the wheel and inspected inside, never just plugged from outside. The only thing that changes is the location, not the quality.

How long does it take?
A single tyre is usually fitted, balanced and pressure-set in around 20 to 30 minutes once the fitter arrives. A full set naturally takes longer, but you can carry on with whatever you're doing throughout, which is the whole point. For emergencies, the bigger factor is travel time, and across our area a fitter can typically reach you within about an hour.
