A screw in the tread at 11 p.m. on a Golders Green street does not need a new tyre. Rescue Tyres repairs it there and then, so the car is ready for the Barnet morning.
Late-night repairs suit the driver who comes home to East Finchley, sees the rear tyre sitting low under the lamp post, and knows the tyre itself is nearly new. Night punctures in the north of the borough can happen along Hadley Green, Hadley Highstone or St Albans Road. Stop on a lit residential road off the main carriageway rather than on it.
