Coventry drivers tend to discover an unbalanced wheel on the A45 Fletchamstead Highway or the A46 bypass. The balancer travels in the van to Earlsdon, Allesley, Finham or a campus car park.

At a Coundon drive or a Canley street, the car is raised and each wheel goes onto the spinning balancer inside the van. It measures the out-of-balance mass, the fitter fixes weights to the inner rim, and one more spin proves the correction before everything is bolted up to the maker's torque. If the car pulls or eats one edge of the tread, alignment is the fault; Rescue Tyres does not do that.
