Photograph the sidewall or read it out: size, the C for commercial construction, a load index pair like 109/107, speed letter. We bring a tyre of equal or greater load capacity, mount and balance it on the van's own machines and fit it, with pressures set to the laden figure the manufacturer gives. Tell us whether the van is at a Hayes unit, a Stockley Park warehouse or your Uxbridge drive, and the cost is confirmed before the fitter heads west.

Before lifting, the fitter looks for firm, flat standing: Hayes estate concrete and most Ruislip drives are fine, while soft ground near Harefield and sloping drives are not. Take heavy stock out if you can. Battery vans weigh more than they look, so the tyre must at least equal the load index on it now, and a quieter tread is a reasonable request for van cabs with no engine noise.
