In Lozells, tyre trouble tends to be found at the kerb outside the house. A car parked on a narrow street overnight turns out soft in the morning, or a wheel has been scraped along the kerb while squeezing into a gap. Longer runs out along the A34 towards Perry Barr pick up the occasional nail. The repair or replacement happens right where the car is parked, provided there is room beside the wheel, so say whether cars are packed in tight on both sides.

Lozells itself offers no public car park worth naming, so the choices are the street or a supermarket car park such as Aldi, with permission. The district sits beyond the A4540 ring road at Lucas Circus, outside the Clean Air Zone.
