Out here the trouble is usually the road rather than the street. The A34 runs along the edge of Dean Court and the Botley Interchange sits at the end of it, so a wheel that takes a hit at speed often gets home carrying a bulge nobody spotted until the car was parked. Seacourt Retail Park and the West Way Shopping Centre are operator's ground rather than public highway, so ask before arranging to meet in one of their bays. The Curtis Industrial Estate suits a working vehicle. Nothing on the B4044 carriageway is usable, and the A34 and the Botley Interchange are out of the question.

Calls come from the houses along Eynsham Road and the closes off it, from Tilbury Fields and Chawley, and from Harcourt Hill. Postcodes are all OX2, though the district council here is Vale of White Horse and not the city, which changes nothing except the parking: the permit zones blanketing streets inside the ring road stop short of Dean Court, so a car can usually stay exactly where its owner left it while a wheel comes off. What the place lacks is any public car park of its own. The only parking the maps show belongs to Oxford Brookes University and is for students and staff, not a meeting point, so open ground means a short run towards Botley. Cumnor, Filchampstead and Wytham fall on the same visit.
