Streets off the A205 are full of cars parked for days in residents' bays, from Clapham South to Tulse Hill and East Sheen, and a slow puncture has all the time it needs to empty a tyre. Flat tyre near Chiswick Bridge or along Clifford Avenue? Pull off into a residential street in East Sheen, or near North Sheen station, before inspecting anything. Keep clear of bus stops, switch on the hazards and tell us the street name plus the nearest crossing point. Staying put on the A205 with a flat is the riskier choice.
