Tyre wrecked and the car needed straight away? The replacement in your exact size comes to your Aylesbury address, goes on, and the other three are checked before the fitter leaves.
Certain Aylesbury tyre damage needs no debate. One driven flat along the A418 from Wing has a liner in shreds, a nail through the shoulder picked up in Weston Turville lies outside any repair zone, and a sidewall opened on a ring road kerb is done. Meanwhile there is a shift, an airport run or an appointment at Stoke Mandeville that will not move for a tyre.
Read out everything moulded into the sidewall, from the width through to the load and speed markings, so that precise tyre is loaded for the trip to HP22 or HP21. Cost and a realistic arrival are both settled while you are on the line. Out in HP22 the replacement is fitted to the Bierton or Weston Turville car and balanced, and the remaining tyres get a tread and cut inspection, and any close to the legal limit is pointed out.

Emergency tyre replacement explained →Emergency tyre replacement on the Aylesbury page
A tyre beyond repair on Oxford Road heading towards Hartwell and Stone gets swapped as soon as the car has reached a safer place off the main road, say a village street or a business car park on the Bicester Road Industrial Estate. Reading every character of the sidewall marking to us lets the matching replacement travel out on the van.
Getting the right tyre to Aylesbury first time means reading the whole sidewall, speed letter and load figure included, plus any run-flat symbol. Tell us which brand is on the partner wheel so both Aylesbury tyres on that axle end up alike. If that exact tyre is not carried, you may be asked whether a near-identical alternative is acceptable. The van must park alongside the car, which is simple on a Fairford Leys drive and harder on a permit street near Market Square.
