A steering wheel that hums along Manor Way and shivers harder towards the M5 at Quinton usually wants balancing rather than a new tyre. The balancer rides in the van to your Halesowen address.
Around the Cornbow the fault keeps its head down. It shows itself where the A456 opens out towards Quinton and the Hagley Road, or on the drop from Hayley Green, when the steering rim buzzes and the seat joins in. A weight flicked off by a Hurst Green speed cushion, an alloy caught turning into Leasowes Park, or a wheel refitted after a puncture repair without being spun again will each cause it.
The wheel comes off at your address and the tyre is checked over for a nail head, a bulge or tread flat spotted by hard braking down Mucklow Hill, then spun on the van's balancer until the machine reads level. Do not confuse this with alignment, which Rescue Tyres does not offer at all. If the car drags to one side on a straight run of the A459 Dudley Road, or a front tyre is scrubbed away on one edge only, that is geometry and it wants a garage with a rig.
