Lifting a van safely needs firm, level ground. A concrete yard at Chequers Lane or a flat driveway in Chadwell Heath is ideal; a sloping verge or loose gravel is not. If the van is loaded with tools or stock, emptying some of it takes weight off the jack. Electric vans are heavier for their size, so the tyre must carry the right load index, and the noise class printed on the tyre label is worth weighing up inside a quiet cab.
