Almost everything in this part of NW6 funnels onto one street. West End Lane takes buses, deliveries and through traffic down a width never meant for them, and the parking on both flanks leaves a channel barely fit for two cars abreast. Wheels get kerbed there and alloys scraped squeezing past. Slow punctures surface later, on a bay outside the flat. None of that needs the car driven anywhere: the postcode, the bay and the sidewall figures are enough to bring the tyre to it.
