Much of the trouble in Pheasey starts on the roads that box the estate in. The A4041 Queslett Road carries heavy traffic between Great Barr and Streetly, and Beacon Road climbs out towards Barr Beacon, so a slow puncture collected on either usually declares itself overnight in B43 or B44. Copy the size from the sidewall and text it over; the right tyre then rides north from Brent Cross with the fitter.

Drives, bays and car parks.

Almost every house on the estate has a drive, which makes life easy. The Collingwood Centre car park works for a car that can still limp the short distance there, parked in an ordinary bay with clear space on the flat side. The Asda car park is another option for shoppers. Up on the hill, the Barr Beacon War Memorial Car Park is open ground if a tyre gives out on a Sunday outing. Queslett Road itself, with traffic streaming past, is ruled out.

Most calls come from the semi-detached roads of the estate itself, where a driveway is the norm, and from the streets running down to Kings Road and Kingstanding Road on the Birmingham side of the boundary. Pheasey belongs to Walsall borough yet shares its postcodes with Kingstanding and Great Barr, so the postcode helps more than the council name. The M6 is close, with the Great Barr Interchange at junction 7 and Ray Hall at junction 8.
