Nothing dramatic happens to tyres here, which is rather the point. The damage gets collected elsewhere, on the A205 through Manor Circus or on the A316 at Clifford Avenue, and it shows up as a soft tyre on the drive two days later. Clipping a kerb on the narrower terraced roads accounts for most of the remainder. Both are jobs that finish at the address: the wheel is taken off, the tyre inspected, and either mended or replaced beside the car.

Front hardstanding, then a resident bay, then a car park, in that order of preference. On the terraced streets a fitter needs roughly a door's width on the road side, so a car parked square rather than angled makes all the difference. An estate yard serves when the vehicle is a van and the site is content to let somebody in. Mortlake Road, being the South Circular along here, is no place to take a wheel off at any time of day.

The calls spread evenly across TW9, from the roads behind Kew Gardens station down towards North Sheen station and across to Lower Richmond Road. This is largely two-storey terraced housing, so the split runs about even between a front hardstanding and a bay at the kerb, and both are perfectly workable. Permits apply on much of it, which matters only in that the car has to be legally parked while its wheel is off. Kew Retail Park is a short run for anyone who would rather meet the van somewhere open, and Phoenix Trading Estate and Commerce Road Industrial Estate take the van and light commercial work. Manor Circus itself and the Clifford Avenue dual carriageway are the two places no fitter will set up.
