Mortlake High Street and The Terrace are barely wide enough for two cars to pass with residents parked both sides, and that geometry is exactly what scrapes an alloy or pinches a sidewall into the kerb. Up the hill, Clifford Avenue carries A316 traffic to Chiswick Bridge, which is where the sharper debris comes from. Whichever did it, the car can stay put. The fitter works at the kerb instead of moving the vehicle anywhere.
