Dudley's hills make the choice of spot important. The fitter needs flat ground at the wheel to jack safely, room beside it for the tyre and tools, and a space for the van nearby. A level drive in Priory or Woodside is ideal, and a yard off Peartree Lane works with the owner's permission. Do not block neighbours' drives or the hospital lanes at Russells Hall.
