A forecourt behind a block of flats is better still when whoever manages the block is content to let a fitter in. Out on the estates off Wales Farm Road there is proper room, and a yard beats every other surface provided the site knows to expect the van. Never used at all is the bus stop kerb on the High Street or the Vale.
Everything here is W3, which makes the postcode no help at all; what the fitter needs is the street and the nearest station. On the terraces between Acton Central and the High Street, parking is controlled and the bay has to be one you may legitimately occupy. Trade work is in the other Acton, the run of estates along Wales Farm Road and Victoria Road towards Park Royal, where Heron Trading Estate and Powergate Business Park keep vans moving all day. Salisbury Street car park is there for a vehicle that will still drive. What cannot be used is the A40 above, or the kerb of the A4020 where the buses pull in.
