Two Ladywood roads will find an unbalanced wheel for you: the A4540 Middleway and the Hagley Road running west. The machine that cures it travels to wherever the car is parked.
A wheel slightly out of true feels fine crawling round Brindleyplace. Get on to the Middleway, or the A456 Hagley Road heading for Bearwood and M5 J3, and the wheel rim starts to tremble under your palms. If it is the seat that buzzes instead, look at the rear pair. Kerb strikes on the narrow estate turnings near the Reservoir shake weights loose, and the Hagley Road potholes finish the job.
Because the balancer rides in the van, the work happens in your bay. Off comes the wheel, on to the machine it goes, the readout says where the weight belongs, and it is refitted and torqued with pressures checked. Tell us whether the car sits east or west of the Middleway, give the permit street or the car park level, and the figure for the visit is fixed on the call.
A residents' bay by the Reservoir, a driveway in Rotton Park, a surface car park at Five Ways, or a Brindleyplace bay with room for a van. The Middleway has no stopping at all, and the tram rules out Broad Street.
