A wobble that shows up only on the A5505 between M1 J11a and Thorn is nearly always weighting. The balancer sits aboard, so each wheel is put right beside the car in LU5.
Houghton Regis gives a wheel two ways to lose its weighting and one long stretch to confess on. The speed humps across Tithe Farm and Parkside will flick a weight off a rim if taken at an angle, and the raw kerbs on the Bidwell West roads catch an alloy. Then comes the link road, where that same wheel finally buzzes through the steering.
Describe what you feel and at what pace it appears. Shimmy through the steering tends to be a front wheel; a buzz arriving through the seat tends to be a rear; a wobble worsening with pace suggests a lost weight. Each wheel comes off on your Parkside drive, goes on the balancer, is corrected with fresh weights and torqued back. Cost is agreed on the phone first.
Driveways on Tithe Farm, Parkside and the roads around Houghton Hall Park all suit the jack, and so does the leisure centre car park. The A5505 and M1 J11a are out of the question: come off the carriageway and park on an estate street first.
