What the distance means for you

Every job here starts with a van setting off from North West London, so we cannot always fit Bedfordshire jobs into the diary. When you call, we tell you honestly whether we can take it and, if we can, when to expect us. We have more than one van, and if one is already out this way that helps.

Driving and parking notes

The M1 runs through the south and west of the county, with junctions 10 to 13, and the A1 runs through the east. Private car parks, such as airport parking at Luton and retail park car parks, need the operator's permission before we can work there.

Before you call

• Read the tyre size from the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16. Common sizes are often on the van; other sizes are sourced for the job.
• Check whether the car has a locking wheel nut and where the key is kept.
• Make sure the car is somewhere safe off the road. We never work on a motorway carriageway, hard shoulder or slip road, and a private car park needs the owner's permission.
