Mobile tyre fitting
in Finchley.
Finchley on its own means N3, the streets around Finchley Central where Ballards Lane and Regent's Park Road cross and Hendon Lane heads off towards Hendon. Rescue Tyres mends and replaces tyres wherever the car is standing.
A fitter at your car
in Finchley.
N3 hands a tyre plenty to hit. The North Circular at Henlys Corner is heavy all day and sheds whatever comes loose, the A1 Falloden Way is no gentler, and once you turn in, Ballards Lane and East End Road are stop-start with kerbs both sides. A tyre often survives the main road and gives up on a side street. That is where the fitter meets it, with the right size on the van and no need to drive the car anywhere.

Tyre work in Finchley.
Punctures get careful treatment in N3. The wheel comes away, the casing is prised off its rim and the inner liner is read, because damage that matters often leaves almost no mark on the tread. BS AU 159 draws the boundary, and a hole within it is patch-plugged from inside the casing. Outside it, the tyre is replaced in the size already on the car. Locking nut removal covers the key that went with the previous owner. Every wheel is balanced before it goes back, at any hour of the week.
Repairs follow BS AU 159; the legal minimum tread is 1.6mm (GOV.UK).
Finchley is part of our mobile tyre fitting across Barnet, run from the one base at Brent Cross.

Drives, bays and car parks.
Drives come first, then resident bays on the controlled streets near the station, then an ordinary kerb on something quieter. What the fitter needs stays the same: the car level, wholly in its space, and one side free to take a wheel off and set it down. Parking on the shopping stretches is short stay and tight, which makes it the wrong place to begin. The nearest station car park is out at Mill Hill East, and it answers to the railway.
The cover takes in the ground between Finchley Central and Church End, along Hendon Lane and Nether Street, and out towards West Finchley and Fallow Corner. A good share of N3 is houses with frontage of their own, a drive or a hardstanding, and that is the easiest job going: the car never moves and no permit comes into it. Where the street is controlled, a resident's bay serves perfectly well, provided the vehicle sits properly inside the markings. The North Circular and the A1 are red routes with no stopping, so a tyre that fails on either should leave at the next turning if the car still steers safely. Regent's Park Road and Ballards Lane are shopping streets, better used to reach a side turning than to work on. No public car park in the middle of N3 is worth naming.
We fit tyres in Church End, Barnet and Woodside Park as well, from the same base and on the same phone line as Finchley.

24 hours in Finchley.
Late trouble in Finchley can be a flat discovered on the way in: home from somewhere, parked on the drive or the bay, and the nearside is down on its rim. Moving it achieves nothing. Ring, say where the car sits and how the tyre looks, and a time you can build the evening around is agreed.
