Between Spitfire Business Park, Silver Wing Industrial Estate and the yards on Lysander Road there is a steady supply of screws and offcuts on the tarmac, and they find car tyres as readily as van tyres. The residential grid behind the station is where most of it is dealt with, because the A23 and the A232 are red route and no fitter should be working on either.

Get off the red route at the next turning into the residential streets or an estate access road, driving slowly on the deflated tyre if you have to. Stopping on the A23 itself helps nobody. Once you are clear of it, tell us the street and what the sidewall reads.

Estate yards are among the easiest places to work, with room to open the van doors and no passing traffic. The land is private, so the site manager or the unit holder needs to agree first. After that, a fleet of vans can be done vehicle by vehicle.
