Headley Way carries much of the traffic towards the John Radcliffe, so a fair number of people living here leave the car at home and travel in on foot or by bus. That helps a tyre job along, because the vehicle is generally on a drive or at a residential kerb instead of sitting on a hospital deck. There is no car park here open to the public, and the ones a map throws up nearby are hospital ground, staff rows and visitor bays alike, so none of them is somewhere to send a van. The bypass carriageway is out of the question at any hour.
