With a population of over twenty thousand, much of it in housing with drives or on-street space outside, Brandhall is mostly straightforward ground to work on. The Wolverhampton Road is the exception: a dual carriageway linking Quinton to Oldbury, with nowhere a fitter can safely stand beside a lifted car, so a car whose tyre gives out there has to get into a side turning before anything happens. The Holly Bush Roundabout and the Quinton Expressway are the same. Sandwell levies no clean-air charge, and Birmingham's zone is confined to the city centre inside the Middleway.
