Heartlands Parkway is where a Nechells driver first feels an unbalanced wheel, somewhere between the Middleway and Fort Dunlop. The balancer travels to the car rather than the car to a workshop.
Estate streets around Nechells Green and Bloomsbury never let a car move enough to expose a balance problem. The A47 parkways do, and so does the A38(M) Aston Expressway on the run to M6 J6, when the steering starts to shiver, or the seat and the mirrors blur if the fault is on the back axle. Broken kerbs on the estate roads are the usual reason a weight has gone missing.
The van carries its own balancer, so a B7 wheel is dealt with wherever the vehicle is standing. It comes off, spins on the machine, takes the weights the reading calls for, and goes back on torqued with the pressure corrected. Useful things to mention: which wheel you suspect, whether a new tyre or a repair came first, and whether the car is at Star City, on a Duddeston street or in a unit yard. The sum for the visit is agreed on the call.

Fit a new tyre and it should be balanced as it goes on; the same applies once a puncture has been repaired, because the patch itself adds weight.
