Lifting a van is heavier work than lifting a car, so the fitter looks for flat, solid ground; a unit forecourt on the Keyway is better than a sloping Short Heath kerb. Electric vans are heavy for their size, so their tyres must meet the load index or exceed it, and tyre roar is more noticeable without an engine running. Once on, each wheel is balanced and the nuts torqued.
