A few revolutions and the screen shows how many grams are missing and at which point on each rim edge. Alloys are tidied with hidden stick-on strips, steel wheels with clip-ons, then a check run and a torque wrench finish it. Mention any camera filter near the car, and the cost is quoted during the call itself.

Reasons to book: fresh tyres, a puncture patched from the inside that needed the tyre lifting off, or a clip-on weight you can see is missing. Reasons not to: a Clapton car that veers along Mare Street, a crooked steering wheel, one shoulder of a tyre scrubbed bald.
