Those bays work well. Keep the parking session running while the fitter is with you, leave the car straight against the kerb, and name the side of the street so the van can draw in behind it.
Is Shoreditch inside the Congestion Charge zone?
Almost none of it. The boundary runs along Great Eastern Street, and boundary roads themselves carry no charge, so everything north towards Kingsland Road and Hoxton falls outside. The ULEZ does apply, at all hours, but only to a vehicle actually being driven.
I kerbed the alloy on Curtain Road and the tyre is going down. Can that be repaired?
