Off-street parking wherever it exists, since it solves the width problem before it starts. Otherwise a resident bay with a clear offside, a quieter road off St. George's Road or Worple Road, or a shop car park while you are in town. Bays at the station are usable with the operator's agreement. Not usable: the High Street, Wimbledon Bridge, The Broadway, a bay on a blind bend, and any space where the door will not open fully.
The SW19 streets between Parkside, West Side Common and Francis Grove are older and narrower than the map suggests, which means resident bays, tight carriageways and little room to swing a wheel off. Say on the phone how you are parked and whether the road is one-way. St. George's Road and Worple Road are easier, and anything with off-street parking easier still. The A219 through the High Street, Wimbledon Bridge and The Broadway is a through route with restrictions and nowhere to stand a van. Wimbledon station, where National Rail, the Underground and the tram all meet, means commuter cars parked through the day. During the championships some roads near the club carry event restrictions, which alters the way in rather than the job.

Can you work in a narrow resident bay near West Side Common?
Those streets are tight but usually workable. The fitter needs the offside clear enough to get the wheel away from the hub, so mention the width, whether the road is one-way, and which side you are parked on when you ring.
I have kerbed the alloy and the tyre is bulging. Is that repairable?
A bulge shows that the structure inside has parted, and no repair standard allows work on that. Do not drive on it. The tyre is renewed at the car and the rim checked at the same time, since a hard kerb strike can distort the lip enough to stop a new tyre sealing.
Can a tyre be fitted at Wimbledon station while I am at work?
When the site permits a service van to stand next to your car, it suits everybody. Leave any ticket visible, send the level and bay, the sidewall size and a number, and the work is done during the day rather than at the weekend.
Do the championships stop you coming to a street near the club?
Not usually, though it changes the approach. Event restrictions apply to some roads around the All England Lawn Tennis Club, so give the street and any signs you can see, and the fitter plans a way in from Parkside or Worple Road.
